Any American Steamship Company employee can make nominations for Outstanding Mariner. Submissions must be prepared on the official nominating form and the form must contain all required signatures. Nomination forms may be obtained from the Captain or the Chief Engineer onboard your vessel. Office employees can request a nominating form directly from the Director of Human Resources.
The Outstanding Mariner program is our way of recognizing shipboard and office employees who have distinguished themselves through meritorious service. An Outstanding Mariner Award acknowledges an employee whose performance exemplifies the spirit of dedication, commitment to excellence and results-oriented drive that have been the heritage of American Steamship Company. The significance of the award is enhanced by the fact that recipients must first be nominated by their peers.
